While I don’t support the whole ‘We want Serena’ thing, I do hope the dub of Sailor Moon Crystal uses the English names. Some people enjoy/grew up with the 90’s dub, and it deserves some respect from the new dubbers, whoever they end up being.

I’m finally calling bullsh*t on the whole “Usagi is supposed to be chubby” arguments. I just don’t buy it, not even from Naoko. Her artistic skills improved but she didn’t make any alterations to Usagi’s figure in the reprint manga - not even ONE image… not even in her new color illustrations. There is no version of Sailor Moon where she looks even remotely chubby so in my mind, Usagi wasn’t ever chubby. The SMC art was the final nail in the coffin, imo. It would’ve been nice, though…

Hotaru/Sailor Saturn is one of my favorite characters because she really reminds me of one of my best friends. Both have short black hair, both tend to wear a lot of black, and both are very quiet and sweet. Whenever I see Hotaru, I think of her.

I loved going through my old Sailor Moon manga and reading Naoko’s notes. I especially loved how excited and thankful she was about having international fans.

I’d love to hear some dark theories and stories about Sailor Moon! Creepypasta collections would be great.

The fact that the American-made half live-action series was a possibility doesn’t make me appreciate the original dubs any more. Both versions disrespected the original intent of the creator, so I dont see one as worse than the other. The dubs changed genders, personalities, sexualities, names, disrespected the culture, cut important content, and basically rewrote the series.

I don’t outright despise the Starlights (although I do prefer their manga incarnations), I just wish they hadn’t been given so much screentime. It might just be me, but I feel like they made the rest of the Senshi look rather insignificant by comparison, especially the Inners. Surely there must have been a better way to develop them than by shoehorning them into main-character roles?

I was a little sad that in ”Ami’s first love ” the girls keep the real winner-student identity a secret from Ami because he didn’t look handsome enough aside that it was obvious that Ami prefers brains over pretty faces I just found that to be very shallow of them.

I ship Haruka and Usagi more than I do Mamoru and Usagi as well as Haruka and Michiru.
