I love listening to clips of dubs from other countries, just to get a feel for the character’s voices. It’s interesting to see how they can vary from dub to dub!

I don’t like admitting it, but I do have to wonder if Act 5 was originally just as bad-looking as Acts 2 and 3 in terms of animation, and the only reason it came out so nice is because Toei had that extra week to clean up any visual glitches. I’d like to think not, but if there’s one thing Crystal and PreCure have taught me, it’s that Toei is not to be trusted to have good animation in episodes where good animation should be a default.

The Sailor Moon fandom that grew up with the 90’s anime really needs to accept that there is a new generation of fans coming in who were not even born during the 90s. No, they never watched the 90s dub, no, they shouldn’t be mocked for not knowing how popular SM used to be in America. You are all getting old, so act like adults instead of being condescending towards kids. You are only embarrassing yourselves.

Whenever I see a post to the tune of “I’m going to show my child Sailor Moon” I hope that they will accept it if their child turns out to not love Sailor Moon. Our children aren’t us, they aren’t supposed to be, so please don’t force them to love the things that you do.

I love the color depth and shading in Crystal’s art. The 90’s art was impressive because it was all hand-painted, but at times it looked dull and flat, because, well, it was from the 90’s! Crystal’s animation may not be perfect, but the vibrant use of colors make the show look gorgeous.

I definitely hope Crystal manages to go up to the Dream Arc (season 4) cause that’s when the series becomes even more magical and more epic.

The only Senshi x Shitennou pairing I can get behind is Venus x Kunzite. The other pairings don’t make a lot of sense to me.
